BROWSE THEIR SELECTION Online at https://www.readearlyanddaily.org/herndon-book-fair
Our R.E.A.D. Book Fair is an event that brings kids the books they want to read. You’ll receive a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level, and all purchases benefit our school! Reading for pleasure inside and outside of school has real and long-lasting benefits. Please come to our book fair and help shape your child’s reading habits.
You can choose to have your books shipped directly to your house. However, if you want to ship them to school to be delivered on Monday, April 19, you must inform R.E.A.D. that you are a Herndon Elementary family at checkout.
When paying with credit card or Paypal, at the last step of the checkout when reviewing your order, add a note that you are a Herndon Elementary family in “Note to Seller.”
When using another form of payment, there’s not an option to add a note. Please send an email to Jennifer Sauter-Price at [email protected]
The R.E.A.D. Book Bus will be at Herndon Elementary on Monday, April 19 from 10 am-3 pm to deliver books. Families can pick up their book orders then. If you are unable to make it, please reach out to the PTA President to make other arrangements at [email protected]
Who is R.E.A.D?
Read Early And Daily (R.E.A.D.) is an non-profit company in Arlington, VA. R.E.A.D.’s mission is ensuring babies and young children have new, quality, culturally relevant books of their own that are mirrors and windows into their everyday lives and communities. The cool and unique way R.E.A.D. operates is that all the revenue earned from book sales goes directly back into its programming to get new, FREE books into the hands of the vulnerable young children they serve. So, when you buy a book at this book fair, 20% of the sales will return to Herndon Elementary PTA and the remaining revenue will be used to purchase new books for young children who need them the most. PLUS R.E.A.D.’s books are curated for their cultural understanding and diverse and inclusive representation. Learn more how all children benefit from reading mirror and window books.
