🏫 Herndon's Renovation

Herndon's renovation is moving forward! With final easements completed and site plan approval from the Town of Herndon Architectural Review Board, progress is well underway. Stay tuned for updates as FCPS shares more details:

⛹️ Staff vs. 6th Grade Basketball Game

Get ready for an exciting night of fun and friendly competition as our 6th graders take on HES staff in the first-ever 6th Grade vs. Staff Basketball Game! Join us on March 20 at Herndon Middle School for this action-packed event.

⏰ Doors open at 5:45 PM, and tip-off is at 6:00 PM!

⛸️ Skate Night at SkateQuest

Lace up your skates and join us for a night of fun on the ice! Herndon Elementary’s Skate Night is happening on March 28 from 7:30-9:30 PM at SkateQuest in Reston (1800 Michael Faraday Ct, Reston, VA 20190). Bring your family and friends for an evening of music, laughter, and icy adventures!

⛸️Tickets: $10 per person (includes skate rental and ice time) – available at the door.

Kindergarten Orientation

Registering your child early helps schools prepare and ensure they have the necessary teachers and resources in place on the first day of school. A child may enter kindergarten for this coming school year if he or she turns five on or before September 30, 2025.

If you have not registered your child, we are scheduling appointments for all rising kindergartners. We have Spanish translators in the office and can arrange for other languages as well. ✨ Save the date! Herndon Elementary Kindergarten Orientation will be on Tuesday, April 1 at 10:00am.
