🏫 Herndon's Renovation
The reno has begun! The playground has moved over by the Kiss n Ride lot, a few more mods are being assembled, and the crews are getting ready to start Phase I this summer - a large addition in the back of the school where the playground previously lived!
Movie Night
Friday, May 9 - Movie night is this Friday! Join us in the gym from 6–8pm for a cozy screening of The Wild Robot!

Starting Tuesday, May 6 - It’s time to kick off the ABC Countdown to Summer at Herndon ES—starting with A for (Stuffed) Animal Day!
Each school day from now until the end of the year will feature a fun theme based on a letter of the alphabet.
Let’s make the last few weeks of school colorful, silly, and unforgettable! 🐝
Staff Appreciation Week
May 5-9 - It’s Staff Appreciation Week at Herndon ES!
This week we’re celebrating the incredible teachers, specialists, support staff, and everyone who helps make our hive so special.
From morning greetings to after-school help, our staff go above and beyond every day—and we are so grateful!
Encourage your students to write notes of appreciation & love to their teachers this week!
Bike & Roll to School Day
May 7 - Let’s roll, Herndon ES! Wednesday is National Bike & Roll to School Day!
Ride your bike, scooter, or skateboard and meet us by the bike racks for some morning fun around 9am!
We’ll have music, treats, and a big poster to sign
