Good afternoon,

We represent the leadership of Tomorrow’s Women in Science and Technology (TWIST), a student organization at Thomas Jefferson High School (TJHSST). Each year, we promote STEM to young students through our annual flagship outreach event, Techstravaganza, and we would love for your students to attend!

Techstravaganza is a free, public STEM activity fair for elementary and middle school students in the DC Metropolitan area where many TJ students and corporate exhibitors interact with bright, young students through various engaging STEM activities ranging from live demonstrations to hands-on activities. This year, Techstravaganza will be from 10 am – 4 pm on Saturday, May 15th, 2021. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Techstravaganza will be hosted synchronously online. Attendees will be able to navigate through our website to watch different demonstrations and interact with the exhibitors.

Please encourage your students to register! Feel free to repost this information within your school – there is an English and Spanish version of our flyer attached below that you may distribute as you see fit. To register, students and parents can visit the following link: https://tinyurl.com/8tdruh1y

Please let us know of any other information you may need pertaining to TWIST and/or Techstravaganza, and feel free to email us at [email protected] or our faculty sponsor, Dr. Sonia Del Cerro, at [email protected]. We look forward to “seeing” you this upcoming May!

Sincerely,

Meghna Sharma
